Home Urgently Needed
Augie, a possible Affenpinscher mix was living with his owner in an Assisted Living community until recently when the owner was moved to memory care. He is living in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area with the owner’s daughter, Barbie, but can’t stay.
Here’s Augie’s story from Barbie: “My brother welcomed Augie, as a puppy, in April 2014. Two years later, in 2016, my brother died suddenly, and my mother has lovingly cared for him. In the last weeks she was moved to a memory care center and can no longer care for him. He is a loving and loyal dog who has won my heart. I care for my toddler grandkids, but they are not a match, as they are afraid of each other so we cannot keep him. Augie feels safe in his kennel when the toddlers are around. He used to sleep with my mom every night and I believe this brought both great comfort. Augie’s teeth are normal for a senior dog. He requires antibiotic solution, on cotton pad wipes, to the ears to prevent ear infections. His shots are up to date as are his annual/mid annual veterinarian visits. He walks on a leash, is house broken and neutered. We are hoping he will find a loving home. We appreciate serious interested party inquiries only please, as we are dealing with mom’s special needs as well. This email address is being protected from spambots.
